A new event this fall will pair local museums with appetizers and beverage samples. The Algona Museum Crawl will be held on Thursday, September 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.

This ticketed event is limited to 150 people and will feature five of Algona’s museum attractions, appetizers from local businesses and samples of craft beer, wine and spirits for guests aged 21 and older. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased in advance at the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce office.

“This is a great event to get out and experience our community’s history and heritage, with the added fun of enjoying local flavors along the way,” said Avery Pedersen, Algona Area Chamber of Commerce Director.

Participating museums include the Camp Algona POW Museum, Algona Nativity Scene, Kossuth County Ag and Motorsports Museum, Iowa Racing Hall of Fame and the Kossuth County Historical Society. Beverage samples will be available from Top Dog Brewing, Plum Creek Winery, Titonka Brewing Company, and S&B Distillery.

Participants may begin their evening at any of the museum locations to enjoy a tour, snack and beverage before moving onto the next location.

The event is sponsored by the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce and the Algona Area Economic Development Corporation. To learn more contact the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce at 515-295-7201 or visit www.algona.org.
