Iowa Workforce Development

IowaWORKS offices are located in Mason City, Fort Dodge, Spencer and other communities across the state. Each office serves as a one-stop shop created to provide universal access to employment services, such as career and skills assistance, virtual workshops and resume building, interview prep, job fairs and special events, unemployment insurance assistance and connection to training and workforce programs. Leaders in training

Leadership Algona is an Algona Area Chamber of Commerce program that invites a new class each year to learn about Algona’s business community, service clubs, history and more. Class members enjoy networking, tours and the opportunity to work together on a class project. Businesses will often sponsor employees, but independent applicants are welcome. One student is chosen from both Algona High School and Bishop Garrigan High School to participate, also. Applications for Leadership Algona are available through the Chamber office. Internship Program
